Sharing My Story for God's Glory

Part 3

I’m not going to tell you that I have it all together, but I will tell you that I’m letting God use me to accomplish His purpose. God began dealing with me in a profound way at the beginning of this year. I found myself continuously praying for people I didn’t know, in the malls, street, grocery store, and anywhere else as the Holy Spirit prompted me. I was in constant communication with God; I would listen to the little things He would tell me to do. Obedience, though a continuous challenge, opens windows of heaven and pours out many blessings when practiced.

I continued to seek God at the 2006 “The Gathering” for women in ministry, which was held in Phoenixville, PA on March 30-31st of this year. The speakers challenged us to enlarge our territory by living in the Spirit and not to leave the conference unchanged but to be transformed by Jesus’ love, then go touch our world for Christ. I surrendered all the areas of my life to God and said in my spirit that I will never be the same again. I experienced cleansing as I sobbed uncontrollably. As the tears came down spirits of insecurity, fear, inadequacy, and pain poured out with them. Amen!

While trying to meditate on this new season in my life, I still had responsibilities at home as a wife, mother, student, and fulltime nurse. The enemy tried many times to take me out of God’s presence but was defeated. With God’s mercy and grace, He delivered me from all the storms and continues to do so. “The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one” (Psalm 34:19).

As I’m writing this, I am experiencing God’s healing power in my life. On April 23, 2006, I was admitted to the emergency room, rushed to surgery the same day due to internal bleeding and a pool of blood in my stomach visualized on ultrasound. I had emergency surgery due to pregnancy complications, which resulted in the loss of another child. God again rescued and saved me from premature death as He did years ago when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  Once again, God in His faithfulness healed and fully restored my health. But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed!” (Isaiah 53:5).

Looking back, I can see what the enemy had planned for evil; God used for His good. I don’t bother to ask why all these things have happened to me. I know now that what I’ve experienced is meant to be used for God’s glory. God has blessed me with a sound mind, hope, health, a God-fearing husband, and three wonderful daughters. He has given me joy, and peace that passes all understanding to assure me that He will never leave me nor forsake me. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phillipians 4:7). How I am now defines who He is in me!

If you would like to experience God’s love, peace, joy and eternal life say this prayer and believe in you heart: “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to be a real Christian. I realize my sins have separated me from you. Please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ paid the penalty for my sins when He died on the cross, and I give my life to Him.  He is my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, Lord Jesus. I submit my life and my will to you as I serve and obey you from this day forth. Amen.
