Experiencing God

Never has a devotional had such a profound effect on my spiritual walk. Experiencing God, by Henry Blackaby and Claude King, was suggested to me by a friend when I was in a time of transition in my life. From the first lesson, I could feel a renewing in my spirit as I drew closer to God through understanding Him more.

Blackaby and King combine personal experiences with scriptural references to provide the participant with a well-rounded study in each lesson. The setup of this book requires the reader to be an active participant. Reflective questions are positioned after every few paragraphs, to guide the reader into applying the information to their own experiences in their spiritual journey.

My favorite aspect of Experiencing God is that the lessons learned in this devotional do not stop when you have completed the study. The knowledge and spiritual development continue as you move forward in your walk with God. I would highly recommend this to anyone willing to actively pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord.
