Loving Your Military Man

From her first day in Seoul, Korea, author Beatrice Fishback quickly discovered her “fairy tale marriage” was no fairy tale. Instead, she felt isolated and alone. She richly draws from her own experience in this 10-week Bible study geared toward helping the military wife love her military man.

Learning how to love, respect and honor her husband even when he is away for extended time periods makes the military wife’s adjustment to marriage even more daunting. When times are difficult and stressful, she must be able to rely on the truth of God’s Word and keep her mind focused on His promises.

Loving Your Military Man is based on Philippians 4:8, and the lesson titles are straight from the text as well: “Whatever is Right,” “Whatever is True,” “Whatever is Honorable,” etc. The roughly two-hour lessons are cleverly crafted in military lingo: Basic Training, Advanced Training, Marching Orders and On the Home Front.

By focusing on the attributes of Philippians 4:8, military wives can build lifelong marriages that will leave strong, stable legacies for their children and grandchildren.
