Stronger Than You Think

By Kim Gaines Eckert
InterVarsity Press, 2007

Stronger Than You ThinkNot everything that is broken can be fixed quickly and easily, especially when a human spirit becomes broken.

In Stronger Than You Think, Kim Eckert addresses the issues every woman faces that contribute to a wounded, if not broken, self image. These issues often carry over into our personal relationships, as well as our relationship with God. Of all the books addressing these issues, this is one of the best I have read. Deep empathy for the broken woman reaches beyond the page through Eckert’s wise words. She does not confront a broken woman with a bandage or a trite solution, but offers thought-provoking text to reach each woman at her point of need.

The content found in Stronger Than You Think is valuable for every woman as she seeks to better understand herself and the women in her life. It is also a great read for any man with a mother, wife, daughter—or contact with women in general!

I highly recommend this for personal study, as well as for group studies with women and/or men.
