See You at the Altar is a day set aside (the fourth Wednesday each September) for parents and grandparents to gather and pray for their children at the beginning of the school year. The day for See You at the Altar corresponds with the day for See You at the Pole, a national day of prayer for students to meet at their school's flagpole to pray.
To participate in See you at the Altar, ask the pastor if the church building can be opened for parents, grandparents, and other interested adults to come to the church's altars to pray for students and the coming school year.
Parents are encouraged to take a picture of each of their children and place on the altars. On the back of the picture they may share the name of the student and the school they attend. This will enable those praying to direct their prayers.
